in the topic Australian married to EU citizen needs CDS in the forum Immigration and Legal Problems
    Hi,
My wife of 3 weeks (!) has returned to France with me (a Brit working in France) on a standard 90 day tourist visa and we now need to start the CDS process - but I am struggling to find where to start. I have scoured the local Prefecture site (Yvelines, 78) and there are various categories for CDS for foreigners but none seem to fit our category.

Can some nice kind person suggest the first steps to make please,

    Kind regards,

    Simon

We have arrived in central France and are keen to meet up with fellow ornamental horticulture types.
A couple of web sites will explain who we are:

Say "hi" if you are passing.

    Hi Colin and Marie-Chantal,

Love your website - very impressive.
My name is Joanne, I am an Australian Landscape Architect and Horticulturalist and I have only landed recently in Paris.

I am eager to meet others and to get to know more about the profession in France.

I would love to hear from you (send us a message)

in the topic French banks - online access in the forum Personal Finance in France
    Hi to anyone out there,

I have recently moved to Paris and I had to open a bank account very swiftly - which I did with the LCL who appear to be reasonable at the basic level of normal banking services. However I now need to do a lot of internet banking and their system seems to be one step removed from the dark ages! I am comparing it with accounts I hold in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium where I move significant amounts of money between accounts as well as paying people on line in less than a minute.

So my question is: is there a bank out there which offers the ability to do 'normal' transactions like bill payments, transfers to international accounts and setting up regular payments in a simple fashion - and not requiring every payee to be vetted by the bank, confirmed by post several days later....?
Preferably one that also offers a reasonably secure system such as the PIN card readers used by my other accounts rather than a highly insecure 6 digit PIN.

Or have I just struck banking reality in France.......

    Looking forward to any comments.

    Regards,

    Simon.
