There will be always some people sitting on top of the fence who can't make up their mind.
You win some and you loose some. You either fit in or you f off.

You live in a foreign country. You want to be accepted? You allow yourself to communicate with your work mates in German.

in the topic 11th Hour of Day Of Month & Karneval - Distasteful Date? in the forum Discuss German Culture
here some info how us germans remember the dead

Hi Ragnar, you are perfectly right.A few days ago i have found info relating to karneval going back to the 14th century.
The way i look at things i do not tell people from other countries what to celebrate and when.So if they want to live and work in germany they have to put up with it or pack their bags and go back to where they have come from, comprende?

in the topic To anmelden, or not to anmelden? That is the question. in the forum Legal Problems in Germany
The law in germany does not depend on how long you are married, neither where else you live or have lived.
Also it wont matter if you are on holiday in germany or have a flat or a house in germany.

that means, whoever is going to stay in germany for more than 3 month
will have to register at the meldeamt within the first week of arrival.
