    Hello everyone,

I have recently decided to go for it and move to Amsterdam. I've been trying to do Paris for the last few months, but I'm over the Parisian life. I prefer Amsterdam.

I have US/French citizenship, I speak English and French, but no Dutch (willing to attack it fiercely). I've been surviving in Paris as a Bartender working at super touristy, late night, student bars. I also do work film editing. I'd appreciate some good bars to drop my cv off too and maybe a way to get involved with the film community here.

Also looking for a good living situation. I'd like to live a bit outside the city, but not too far to bike. I'm willing to rough it in a tiny student apt. I did the 15m2 shared toilet/shower thing, will do it again if need be.

So yea thanks for reading this far. If you've got any hints, tricks, words of wisdom I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Christophe

Can anyone recommend a private teacher for Dutch classes? Preferably, one that could come to a home or office during the day?

Does anyone have an idea of how much these types of lessons cost? Thanks

Please ingest coffee. I beg of you.

Sometimes, it's good to confront, and sometimes, walk away, but you always seem so p-d off at people all the time.

Who cares about Mr. Fook's motive? The post didn't fall under the categories of political bickering, personal vendettas or anti-Dutch sentiment. But you apparently chose to pick on it because you don't like him. Seems to me that you just made yourself part of the problem you claim you want to solve.

I try to post in the serious parts of the board when I can be helpful. But in light of your comments, perhaps its best I don't post at all. Would not want to mess up your little clique.

    Good luck
