Oh, I agree that what I think *should* happen doesn't matter to the actual situation. What matters is what the law *actually* is. That's why I posted here - I couldn't find anything about the law on when you an employer was legally obliged to pay your final paycheck. I have to say though, the fact that my company has specifically told me that I'll be paid at the end of the month - this doesn't necessarily mean that they're following the law.

I understand that's the way salary gets paid, but I won't be an employee of the company anymore - so they owe me the money... At least, that's how I'm thinking about it. I've asked a few friends about this, and some people (although not all) definitely agree with me that I should receive my last paycheck on the day I leave.

I'm leaving my current job for something else, and my final day will be on April 15th. I was told that I would have to wait until the end of April to get my last paycheck though, and I was wondering what the law is on this - is my employer allowed to just not pay me for two weeks?

Fair enough. Couple of points though: - the information you linked isn't actually in English - the site deliberately fails to load in Opera (a web browser), despite it working fine if I spoof the user-agent - what I assume should be the "this browser's not supported" page is blank of content - it might be worth going back and fixing the URL in your posts (weightwatcher.nl without the "s" at the end of "weightwatcher" is a generic search engine / spam site)
