in the topic Dutch Tutor in the forum Learning Dutch
    Hi

I am moving to Amsterdam in three weeks with my partner and my nine year old daughter. I am looking for a Dutch tutor for my daughter as she is going to be attending a dutch school and needds to pick up the language quickly. Can anyone point me in the right direction to look for a good personal tutor in Dutch language?

in the topic Recommendations for Dutch primary schools in the forum Family life in the Netherlands
    Hi,

I am moving to Amsterdam with my partner and our 9 year old daughter in three weeks and I am hoping to get a recommendation from someone for a Dutch public primary school that may have an international program or be particularly known for it's capacity for handling foreign students. My daughter is learning Dutch and we are going to get her a Dutch tutor when we arrive but I am concerned about how she will adjust intially at a Dutch primary school with the language barrier.

in the topic Queer aussie Mum and 9 year old daughter seek buddies in the forum Australians in the Netherlands
    Hey everyone,

My partner (25y/o), myself (30 y/o) and my 9 year old daughter are being relocated to Amsterdam from Melbourne, Australia by a Netherlands company on 1st August 2010, I am hoping to find someone on here with a English speaking child of around the same age that my daughter might be able to relate to and hang out with when we arrive. We are learning Dutch and we do want to immerse ourselves in Dutch culture but thought it would take a little bit of pressure off if my daughter had a peer who had experienced the same kind of move and from a similar English speaking background.

Any help or advice on how to make this as easy for her as possible would be very welcome.
