Hi All,
My mother, who (ex-patriated/re-nounced her US citizenship) has an IRA account in the USA. Now she has become a Swiss Resident in Geneva and must file Swiss taxes and our Swiss Tax advisor does not understand how to file for the IRA.
The question is what is a smilar Swiss retirement account or tax treatment for a US IRA?
Sorry about the boring first topic...
Hi There, Not sure about the Swiss side, but the U.S. side has Tax implications on IRA's when Citizenship is renounced. Suggest you contact a Tax Accountant or Tax Attorney in the USA. to establish how the U.S. is going to treat this account because of Citizenship issue.
