    I am looking to sign up for an insurance but since I do not have a job, I am looking for the cheapest option out there. I found a quota of 78e per month with a deductible of 500e.
    Do you know of anything cheaper? Or is there any way to obtain some sort of a discount if I am unemployed? I have not previously worked in the Netherlands but I am registered in the country.

    So I have a few questions about this whole application process which I'm hoping you guys can help with:
    - how much does the application process take? when should I expect that permit?
    - as a Romanian national, do I actually need the permit before starting work?
    - can the IND reject an application?
     
    A friend told me a residence permit can take even 2-3 months to be issued so I'm hoping he's wrong. I know the hiring procedure for KM is faster.
     
    Any advice would be helpful, thank you!  less

    In theory, that is correct. But the issue comes when we need to prove that he is my partner. Thank you for your help! Hopefully, someone with a more indepth knowledge will be able to enlighten me on this.

    I realize the issue might have been already discussed, but I'm having a hard time searching for related topics here.
     
    Anyway here it goes: I will be relocating to the NL soon as a knowledge migrant and I would like to later bring my partner with me and get him a work permit or residence permit (if he'll work as a knowledge migrant).
     
    What are the necessary steps for my partner to receive the right for work or a residence permit? I read we will probably need to prove our relationship to the IND so how can we do that apart from proof of living together (we don't have a rent contract)? Can he come to the NL and register that he lives with me at the same address and then get the right to work after 6 months?
     
    Any help is appreciated. Sorry if I haven't been clear, but I'm not yet very familiar with the legal terminology.  less
