If so, you might have to surrender your passport at the ceremony. (I was able to have dual citizenship so I don't know for sure at what point you'd have to surrender your old passport.) If you then have to fly off for business, you might find yourself without a passport. You're not required to have a Dutch passport, but you do need at least a Dutch identity card. I think you're supposed to apply for an identity card as soon as possible. But you could still use your verblijfsvergunning card before you get the passport and/or identity card, as long as it hasn't expired. Hope this helps.
you dont have to surrender ur old passport at citizenship ceremony... lolllllllllllllllllllllllllll  less

After taking oath of dutch citizenship, u have 6 months to apply for your dutch passport and id. You have 6 months to surrender Your Indian passport the day u get your new citizenship so in nut shell, u can travel outside NL with ur Indian passport and dutch residence permit. Now u have option to apply for dutch passport in the dutch embassy in the other country u r going for 2 months. or if not, come back after 2 months and apply here in NL. Make sure u surrender Your Indian passport as soon as u get your dutch passport. u have to shed 188 Euros and waste half day in indian embassy Den haag for that lollllllllllllllll i have gone through all this recently  less

Igor did actually answer your question. Let me rephrase: once you are naturalized, you are a Dutch citizen. When you are a Dutch citizen, you can apply for and get a Dutch passport whenever you want. Or you can not apply for a Dutch passport-- no one is forcing you to do it. So sure, you can wait 2 months to apply for a passport-- you can wait 2 years to apply for a passport.

However, if you don't have a passport or ID card, you will not be able to easily prove that you are a Dutch citizen, and you could have trouble re-entering the Netherlands. It does seem a bit strange that you don't want to immediately apply for a passport or an ID card. (An ID card is sufficient for re-entering the Netherlands if you are going to be traveling on your other passport.) It only takes about a week, or...    less
