There have been many attempts to twist the release of this video into NASA’s support for LENR or as proof that Rossi’s e-cat really works. Many extraordinary claims have been made in 2010. In my scientific opinion, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I find a distinct absence of the latter. So let me be very clear here. While I personally find sufficient demonstration that LENR effects warrant further investigation, I remain skeptical. Furthermore, I am unaware of any clear and convincing demonstrations of any viable commercial device producing useful amounts of net energy.  less

(see pages 7 & 8 for English summary) shows that there are a number of fundamental issues that Rossi refuses to address.
Principal amongst them is that the machine is supposed to turn nickel into copper. In which case the resultant residual Cu isotopes should be highly radioactive - radioactive enough to kill everybody in the room - even after ten half-lives. Needless to say, nobody who attended the demonstration has died yet…

Well, the big day has come and gone. Andrea Rossi's one-megawatt-capable E-Cat cold fusion device has been tested in Bologna, Italy; and the unknown customer, who ran the test, is apparently happy.

There were some issues, so it couldn't be run at full power in self-looped mode, but what it did do was plenty impressive.

It ran for 5.5 hours producing 479 kW, while in self-looped mode.
    ...and...
Probably the biggest opening for skeptics will be the continually running genset that is probably rated for 500 kW (my guess), and appears to have been connected by cables to the E-Cat.

So the E-Cat produced 479 kW while being “connected by cables” to a “continually running” 500kW generator(!)

So it goes almost without saying that because Libya had buildings, (most of which had glass windows and quite a few of which were painted white) therefore, ipso facto, q.e.d and obviously, this must meen that everyone loved Gadaffi, and the people lived in joyous freedom and democracy after all.
