Awww, bless ya. I'm worried about culture shocks too when I move over in July. I am excited that I am going to start a new life, but I am worried I might not adjust, all very strange!

I'm not the most sportiest of people, but the Sky TV at Ashes time is extremely tempting :) Struggling to find anywhere that will show it in Zwolle.... at the moment my only option is to try and get Sky installed abroad :)

Well said, James :) I've had a few friends tell me that the grass isn't greener wherever I will go - I've always known that. I've had a few job offers and I am also self employed and had some business interest over there. I am not expecting to be offered a job overnight, but I know as I am moving into my boyfriend's house, I will have a roof over my head at least :)

Hi James I am moving to Zwolle in July (about an hour from Amsterdam). I am dreading the job aspect too.... but staying hopeful. I have a friend who went to Amsterdam with £40 in his pocket and stayed on a friend's couch for two weeks while he got a job promoting one of the many pub crawls. Now, he has a job in one the top bars in Warmoestraat (big street in the Red Light District) and actually earns more than me and I work for the council here in the UK. Don't give up hope!

I am finally making my 12 year old dream come true!  I've wanted to move to The Netherlands for ages, and something has always held me back.  In July, I will finally be taking that big step and moving to Zwolle, Overijssel.  I have met the love of my life (Dutch man) who has actually been a very good friend for 14 years and now I have a very good reason to move over!
