Indians in NL and Indians married to Dutch

Hi Shayla and all,

We can do it on 12th also (Sat) or lunch on Sun. I am fine with anything.

Lets look up for some ideas in next few days. In worst case scenario, we will end up in some restaurant. Main idea is to have a place to talk to each other and spend some good time.

Shayla I think a meal may probably work better since its our "first" meeting.. it will give everyone a chance to just chat and get to know each other.. Since men are allowed !! I'de like to come with my hubby as well... And also Im up for a ladies nite another time..

I guess all of us who are showing so much interest will keep up their words and their enthusiasm, to come, share and enjoy on the 13 Aug. List is growing as my hubby is interested to comeover too, but he can only confirm by tomorrow. So i will mail you about that.

Lets then decide a place where we all meet and the time in between which people can drop in.

Once again is everyone who is in O.K with the time/Lunch??

We can directly say that from 2 onwards we meet at

or,

If liked by others, some of us can also meet- adjacent to Bijenkorf there are some cafes facing the open "plein" or is that the "Dam"(?)between 2-3 and if someone arrives after 3 we shall be in a resturant till (whatever time...6,7), so that if someone is late for some reason they know where to find us!

As for picking up a resturant (also with good vegitarian menu),I have not much idea in Amsterdam!

If it was Arnhem I would have suggested "Mantra",very yummy Indian food place. Anyhow, for next time...

Lets not worry too much about e-mails yet, as the committed and enthusiatic ones will do their best to confirm and join, and those are the ones nice to meet, even its a smaller group!!!

Doing my phd in Groningen.I have been here for last 2 months.I have been quite hectic schedule with the research.No time for relaxing, Just going room for cooking and agin university,

Hi Friends,

If we are meeting for Dinner, most Indian restaurants in Amsterdam open at 5pm. If we meet at lunch we could go on a canal boat ride that serves Pizza on board. Does that sound okay?

I have been to many of the Indian Restaurants in Amsterdam Central and I highly recommend Bollywood Indian Restaurant Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 108, tel: 020-489 90 03. It has two floors (top floor can be reserved for large groups) Food is excellent, good service and the price is reasonable.

I have to do that everytime a friend visits me, and I don't know how many more times I have to subject myself to that pleasure... I would however prefer to go in one of the open boats, (not for non-swimmers) that would be more exciting, we can plan this when we meet,

I know what you mean about the canal boat ride, I too have done that so many times with all my visitors, I do prefer the idea of the open boat rides. I'm open to any ideas as long as we all get a chance to meet and chat and make some friends along the way.
