  I have almost completed my move from Seattle to Amsterdam. I am back in Seattle right now going through the last of my stuff, which, after 53 years of pack rat living, is quite an accomplishment! I have it narrowed down to about 10 boxes plus about 20 pieces of framed artwork. Does anyone have shipping advice for me? I hate to just start cold calling without some personal recommendtions, and this site is VERY cumbersome when it come to looking through search results. So while I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times before, I just can't find the threads, and would very much appreciate any advice you all have ....

  Can't help, sorry. I just sold everything in a summer's worth of yardsales. It was all second-hand crap anyways. The rest is in my parents' garage in Canada...although I did cram some stuff in a suitcase last time I visited.
  
  I still have one mounted Klimt print that one day I'll bring over...But other than that, it was just "stuff" to me. And I haven't missed any of it.

  I just sold most of my stuff because I had had miserably high quotes from movers found through a tertiary search on the internet. Then I stumbled upon ship smart out of California. They could have done my small apartment move for about 900-3000 dollars - which is way less than what other companies were charging. Give them a call - they are out of Aptos, Cali.
  
  I just used them to ship stuff from Nashville to my parents' house in Phoenix. They can store the yearbooks and such for me!
  
  Yours sounds like a much larger move than mine would have been, but give them a call, you never know.
