  Hi,

   

  My 13 year old American child is currently living in France attending French schools. Her host family is leaving the country on June 26th--and her flight back to the US isn't until mid-July.

   

  While she CAN go stay with my brother in the UK for the whole 3 weeks, she'd rather find a French-speaking residential camp in Belgium (or France)--so that she can keep practicing.

   

  I've spent the morning on google--to no avail. Any suggustions?

  Residential camps do not start until the school holidays which start 2nd July. There are loads and loads and loads of them, but not so sure about attendance for non Belgian residents. Here are just a few.

  Here are some residential camps which are simply in French, not specific French immersion.
  
  For all these residential camps, you would need to contact them to ask if your daughter is allowed to attend as a non resident, as many get subsidies from the French Community government, so non residents might not be allowed to attend. There would also the question of having to provide proof of health and travel insurance which a resident wouldn't need to provide.
  
  You can use the words "stage internat" to search "stage" is the word for "camp" and "internat" is the word for residential/overnight.
  
  
  Your other option is to find a host family for a few weeks and day time camps, which are very very plentiful somewhere like Brussels and which start from as little as €80 for a 5 day week.

  one last one I remembered, our children have stayed here on a school residential and a friend sent her children back there because they enjoyed it so much on the school trip.

  Hi Biz,
  I am looking to send my children to France for the summer with Peak Horizon (www.peakhorizon.com) and I think their dates would fit well with your plans. Also I looked other camps in Switzerland, but I think this one is the best from the ones I found. - My children love mountains.

  Those camps look very nice but are in English and cost €2000 a week. The locally organised camps cost from €250 for a week and are in French.

  Hi, can anyone offer any help on camps in or around Antwerp. Ideally looking for something football related for my 7 year old boy, day camp. He speaks English and Flemish. We are having a very hard time finding anything.. Any advice would be greatly received.
