  Hi,
  
  could someone suggest some reliable law firms in A'dam (preferably, in the centre) or den Haag, that specialize in Immigration Law?
  
  Especially, if you used them before and have good opinion of the firm.

  Utrecht is not that far form The Hague and Amsterdam (20 min. by train from Amstel station).
  
  You can reach my office from the central station on foot in 5 minutes.

  My wife and I spent many months trying to find out who the best lawyer for this was. There are many sham artists out there and many that will teake your money to do the same thing that you can do. My wife and I met a very well known american immigration attorney that wanted to charge us 14000 euros for our procedure. In the end the name that kept coming up as the best was a firm in Amsterdam named Everaert Advocaten. And a fantastic attorney named Sevil Karadag. She led us through the entire process for about 1500 euros. And we had an intricate process to residency. She specializes in residency for foreigners, the dutch american friendship treaty and foreign workers looking for residency. The place is the real deal. It is a fully staffed law firm.   I also heard about Expatlaw firm. My friend has very good opinion about them and their approach. They helped him with getting RP. If I am not wrong, Prawo is working in ExpatLaw....

  Here at ExpatLaw we also charge 1500 euros for the DAFT procedure.
  
  14,000 euros is the average investment made by our clients in their DAFT business, not the amount of our legal fee. We do most applications for 750 euros and DAFT applications for 1500 euros.
  
  The minimum required investment for a DAFT business application is 4,500 euros but our typical applicant invests around ten thousand euros more than this minimum. Some invest substantially more.
  
  Apparently there was a misunderstanding about the meaning of the figures. We have never charged more than 1500 euros for a DAFT application and we have a 100% success rate in this category of permit. In addition we also provide additional services to the DAFT client (like business set-up assistance) which aren't offered by other local attorneys.
  
  Our prices are clearly posted on our website, which should make it clear that our rates are very competive.
  
  I am glad to hear that we are 'well-known' but it's definitely not for overcharging our clients.

  I have talked with a lawyer early this week - unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing she could do about my situation - I applied for permanent residency, but IND declined citing a 1 month break between permits in 2008. (I appreciated the honesty, though, that she didn't start procedures just to charge me the fees and have no satisfactory result at the end anyway.)
