In conversation with Arundhati Roy

Event Details

  • Time magazine called her ‘one of the top hundred most influential people in the world’ in 2014. In early June this year, her long awaited second novel, The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, will appear, the follow-up to The God of Small Things with which she won the prestigious Booker Prize. After her debut, Arundhati Roy also emerged as a political activist and anti-globalist who mounted the barricades for the environment. She has also campaigned for the rights of ethnic and religious minorities in India.

The writer Ernest van der Kwast will be interviewing Roy about her work and her struggle in the Doelen in Rotterdam on 16th June.
