Dinosaurs to set foot in Belgium once again

Event Details

  • The exhibition is largely aimed at children. Thanks to lifelike scenery they will be able to immerse themselves in the Mesozoic, the geological period in which the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. By following a fun and interactive exhibit trail they will be able to discover the mysteries of where the dinosaurs came from and how these giants disappeared from our planet. Replicas of fossils will also teach them how scientists have been able to find and preserve the footprints of dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs have also been found in Belgium. At the end of the 19th century about thirty complete iguanodon skeletons were discovered 322m below ground in the coal mine of Bernissart. To bring this piece of history to life the organisers of the exhibition have been working with the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels.

The dinosaurs had already been displayed in Belgium back in 2013, but the exhibition is now set to be twice the size it was back then. Don't miss it!
