I googled him. He was a real doctor, i.e. an MD. But his theory about world being improved by images is wishful thinking. E.g, a specialist in the psychology of killing from the Dutch military academy talked in a TV interview about violent computer games and the killing spree from Alphen aan de Rijn. He said that even animals abhor killing one of their own, this is why fights between animals who could kill their peer rarely end in a killing. This holds for soldiers, too. Research showed that in the World War II, only about 25% of the soldiers shot to kill the enemy. The rest shot off target. The percentage got higher in the Korea war and in the Vietnam war was at its peak. He said that in this respect, shooters psychologically enable their players for killing people in cool blood, since they get used to do it ...    less

Solution: remove WAN cable for 15-20 seconds and then plug it back into the router.

So this is an example wherein images do not make the world better. Well, unless you have military training in mind.

According to Rob Nanninga in the last issue of Skepter, AUC is on the path of granting a Bachelor to a woman about whom it is not known with certainty if she can read or write. She certainly cannot speak, nor write using a pen, nor type words on a keyboard, but thanks to the wonders of Facilitated Communication she can later get her WO degree.
