I actually go to Haarlem at least once a week, so that is pretty close to Amsterdam. But thank you for the link to Meetup.com.....I can't believe I haven't found out about that site until now. It looks like a great place to finally meet new people.

I actually haven't found many English-speaking programmers -- It would be great to form a professional, networking group!

It would be so nice to meet with a group of software developers and kinda form a 'peer review' --maybe even throw ideas around for future projects.

I reside in Breda myself, but I travel throughout the country for clients. So I think the location of a group meeting could be pretty flexible.
