I understand that the certificate/document provided at the naturalisation ceremony consists of the date that is the date at which the Queen made the decision (which is normally 1-3 months prior to the date of ceremony) and not the naturalisation ceremony date (I have not yet attended the ceremony). However according to the law (and all official websites) one is not a Dutch citizen unless one attends the naturalisaiton ceremony and takes the oath.
So what is the actual date of naturalisation; date of ceremony or the date at which the Queen made the decision (and I believe Geemente will also register in their system that one has become the Dutch citizen on the date of Queen's decision).
I want to understand the actual legal date of naturalisation for filing up official forms.
    Many thanks in advance.  less

There is nothing to be changed on the birth certificates as their standard format does not allow my birth municipalty to write anything but the first name under name. There are no spelling errors etc compared to my passport, my residence permit etc. There is no quesiton of changing my passport either as it would mean I have nothing but first name which is not reality either.  less

I tried to explain this to the ambtenaar that I submitted my birth certificate to. My birth certificate is legalised and is the same that I used when I registered when I came to NL but it seems that during that time, Gementee for people from my country was using passport details to register (I don't know for sure). My concern is because birth certificate has to be interpreted to get the correct order and my full name, will they just change it without asking my consent?

Registration of birth certificate for naturalisation
I have a query regarding registration of my birth certificate in GBA in run upto naturalisation (have been in NL for 5 years). My birth certificate has all the details as contained in my passport which has my name written in proper order (and as correctly entered in the current records of Gementee) however my birth certificate has my name as my first name and for my middle name and surname, one has to pick it up from entry under my father's name in the birth certificate. This is standard format from where I come from.

My questions are that given that under the Dutch law, birth certificate is the leading document:
Can gementee just change the records (and hence my name) as they may interpret it differently without contacting me for permission as I have submitted my birth certificate to be registerd and they consider that as my consent?...  more

Another query! I heard from one of guys who applied recently for the passport that when one goes to apply at the geemente, it is like an interview and that if the ambtenaar is not satisfied with your level of dutch in your conversation then he/she can reject your application despite you having the inburgering or Kvt certificate. Is that true?

My name is documented properly all along my life across all documents (employment records etc.) including the birth certificate (which is what was used to get my MVV) and it is just about explaining it properly to the ambtenaar in gemeente. I just want to ensure that I have a chance to explain the interpretation and they do not just change my records based on their quick interpretation without consultantation and my consent.
