in the topic Query - Online bank transfer. in the forum Personal Finance in France
    Dear Forum Users,

I have a local Paris account and an international account from which I would like to transfer funds into this local account for expenses, etc.,

I am concerned that if I transfer more than a certain amount (e.g. 5000 euros or more), it will raise red flags given all the tensions about terrorism, etc.,

I would appreciate any information you may have.

    Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks for the reply, dr.klaus. If we could pony up the rent required (let's assume for the moment that we can), then will it be acceptable on the basis that it will require the stating of an international income to satisfy the 3x requirement. If, as you say, anything acceptable is well past the 1500 Euro mark, my showing an international income becomes even more of a requirement.

I am concerned that we are completely out of the running when it comes to renting an apartment because of this lack of a sufficient France-generated income.

Could you comment on this please ?

in the topic International Income and Renting ... in the forum Housing in France
    Dear Forum Users,

I am in Paris on a year long voluntary internship (meaning I receive no France-based income during my internship). I do have an international income, however, that easily satisfies the 3x requirement of income versus rent.

Further, my French partner who is on a France-based contract-based job DOES NOT satisfy the 3x requirement of the place we would like to move out to (approx. 1500 Euros / month rent).

Does this put us out of the running when it comes to renting a place in Paris ? I would rather find a place myself to avoid the agent's fee but I would like to be sure of this fact before I begin hunting.

Also, in case I tire of the hunting, do you know of any agents who would be helpful in this regard given my particular situtation?

Many thanks in advance for your advice and apologies if this replicates an earlier post (a search did not turn up anything relevant),

    Sriram
