The duration of your Residence permit is not contingent on the duration of his permit - so I don't think you will automatically get a 5 year residence permit. He  is a KM worker.
I know that when wife join their husband in NL they initially get RP for duration of 1 year (provisonal or verblijfstitel as it is called) and next renewals makes the RP for the duration of husband permit.
So, again if we don;t apply after my provisonal permit expires and I leave NL and re-apply after 1 year for RP, will I get same provisonal permit or permit for duration of my husbands permit. Which I should if I won't leave NL in between.   less

    Permit extension question again
I am living with my husband (KM) in NL and our marriage is registered at Gemeente. I got 1 year provisional RP valid until mid 2012. For further studies I have to leave NL for sometime. My husband who has temporary RP valid until 2013 and he will extend for another five year as he has permanent job contract.
Can I just leave NL after expiry of my permit and re-join my husband later when he extend his own permit.?My next permit will be valid again for 1 year like now or I will get permit for 5 years.?
Also, my husband has to re-do the initial process of bringing me here or it will be just matter of filling one form for extension of my permit.
IND will not ask for my whereabouts at the time of extension of my permit in 2013....  more

This is the idea I am thinking of we can extend it further by meeting outside, can go for Bowling or plan group visit to other countries on vacation, it will be fun. Other ideas welcome.

Dutch Language exam for permanent residency goal.
I have a very basic question regarding NT2 statesexam as below :
Whats this portfolio and is it something to do with inburgering only or anyone who is giving A1/A2 level exam has to do it as well? My goal is to get the permanent residency here in NL and nothing more, so if I do some private lessons and then pass A1 & A2 level of dutch will that be sufficient (and I don't want to do this portfolio etc..am I mixing the two).
Just to double check for permanent residency A1 is enough or A2 level diploma is also needed.

So, I cannot just go to Gemeente and register showing them our marriage certificate. Because then it should have been done long back but they choose to send it for another verification to IND.
And I cannot register here for any other reason to any address because I am supposed to be dependent in NL.  less
