Having said this, to save costs, we decided to move ourselves....meaning, getting a van, filling it with our furniture and driving it from CH to ES. I have been running around, calling the consulate, embassy, customs office trying to figure out what we need to do.
I was wondering the following: 1) What documents do we need to cross the border and what should we expect once we get to the border - our household items are over 2 years old - what is a DUA and where do you find it and how do you fill it out?
2) Does anyone know of a "Agente Aduanero" and has anyone used one in the past? Who would you recommend?
3) The Customs gentlemen told us we needed to "empadronarnos" with the town hall before coming, however, we have 2 weeks before the move and will not be able to do that given our work schedules. Is this something a Gestoria would be able to do for us, if so, can anyone recommend one in Logrono, Spain?
