in the topic Bringing German car to Canada? Feasible or not? in the forum Canadian in Germany
Thanks for the tip. It does seem rather complicated in Canada. I know of an Aussie researcher who brings cars to Perth from Japan, so it seemed promising based on the relatively low price and good maintenance of BMWs and Mercedes here. Perhaps I can get a family member, who is a lawyer, to help me wade through this stuff.

    Cheers,

    Michel

in the topic Bringing German car to Canada? Feasible or not? in the forum Canadian in Germany
    Hi everyone,

after reading an email from Transport Canada about the feasibility of bringing a car back to Canada from Germany, I am dismayed at the response and am wondering if there is a way around it.

It seems that I can import a car if made in the US, or from elsewhere if the d*mn thing is 15 years or older. They won't allow me to bring back a recent Mercedes or BMW. Presumably these are a danger to other Canadians on the road? :-|

Does anyone know a way around this? Does this not strike anyone as incredibly provincial?

    Cheers,

    Michel

in the topic Any English-language alternatives to German Sky? in the forum Television in Germany
    Hello,

does anyone have any recommendations (such as websites, or specific advice) on alternatives to GermanSky for English-language satellite television available in Germany?

Are there English-language television signals that are unscrambled, or decryption alternatives to GermanSky for scrambled signals, for someone living in Germany?

    Best regards,

    Michel
