I have applied for Kraamzorg (lady who will help me after child's birth for 1 or 2 weeks).

What is an epidural....is it a Dula (in dutch)?

I had my 1st appointment with the midwife. Now I am going to have a "Risk Test", where they will check if there is a risk for the baby to have a thick neck. Did you also have that test?

What else can I expect regarding Pregnancy in The Netherlands?  less

Hey CW, Yes thats definitely possible that if someone refuses to give up the nationality then the Gemeente can take away the Dutch Nationality... BUT if your country of origin has a rule that you can keep the original nationality + Dutch (Dual) then you can do that, right? If not then it will be of no use to spend all this money. I guess IND or Gemeente can answer your question of having a Dual Nationality.

And, giving up your nationality isnt that bad either.....atleast for me it didnt effect too much. With the Dutch Passport, I applied for permanent visa document which is valid for life time.

My family is also back in India and I go to India every year without any problem at all.

I am not sure what is the procedure for your country...you are from Canada, right?  less

Long time no news.....just returned last week from my holiday :-)
How was your TGN exam and did you already have your paneelgesprek?
Just to answer your question.... I think its not upto the dutch government to decide about the dual citizenship......if your country allows it then its allowed.....for example India does not allow dual citizenship, so, I had to give up my Indian Nationality....  more
