in the topic Working in Bidos in the forum Housing in France
Hi, I'm doing a sandwich year working for Messier-Dowty in Bidos (Oloron-Sainte-Marie), basically I've been offered accommodation in Pau, with a family, food, cleaning and all bills included for €520 a month. I have now been told this pretty expensive. I do want to be immersed in french though, so don't want to be living on my own, and want to have an active social life!
I was wondering what people would advise, should I live closer to my work, or live in Pau, where apparently there are quite a lot of students living? And if so what's the transport like to and from Bidos? My company have told me I should have a car, although I think this would work out even more expensive.
    Thanks in advance
    Helen
