I've read all about the new healthcare system that requires most people to be signed up in January 2006 and provides "basic" healthcare for about 1000 Euros a year. Is this working? Is it possible to find a decent doctor? Is it possible to get in when you need to? Does the basic plan work for most illnesses, ailments, labs, etc? Do they really make housecalls? Is everybody happy?

I am curious about the role and commission (fees)charged by realtors in Belgium. Are real estate agents motivated by the fees they receive (in the US, realtors receive 6-7% of the selling price from the seller)? I am interested in visiting Antwerp for a few days and looking at properties for sale, and I am thinking I should contact realtors to make appointments for me to see properties in my price range. Does that system work in Belgium or am I making some unreasonable assumptions?
