    Your HR has already started work permit procedure for you. It is fine. Especially given that they already succeeded for a colleague of you who was in a less favorable position than you are in now, as you said. Your HR should indeed be more experienced now than then. So don't worry too much.

But indeed, chance does exist that from 1 October, you may not be able to apply for continued stay. On the other hand, according to new dutch immigration policy, work permit will only be granted in extreme cases. Hopefully your case falls into the "extreme category". Either way, you do need luck to succeed. So wishing you good luck.  less

And thereafter in December you can renew your permit dependent on your husband.
