Hi Diane, are you still looking for an apt. in Amsterdam?  If so, how long for?  I have a studio apt. in the centre of Amsterdam (beside a canal) and close to metro/tram.   Let me know.

Hi Hev, thanks for the info. I must say I don't like the sound of it being cold in winter.... anyway, I have a friend who is moving to Antequera in June and I hope to stay with her for a week or so once she is settled in. Thanks for the offer of looking for a B&B. I am originally from Brazil and I would really like to return to Brazil but my daughter lives in Bristol and I don't want to be so far away from her. I thought Spain would be a compromise, although I must say I would really prefer to retire somewhere warm.

Hi Daibhid, my idea was more for people who enjoy cycling to get together to go cycling around Amsterdam (in the Amsterdamse Bos or by the River Amstel, etc.). It would not include training as such. I don't know how much a racer costs in Scotland (or here for that matter) but I do know that you can get good second hand bikes quite cheaply. After all, practically everyone has one of more bicycles here. If you are going to buy a racer bike, I suggest you get more than one good locks for them. Bikes are stolen every minute here, especially expensive ones! Where in Holland are you moving to?
