in the topic fraud - 2dehands.be in the forum American in Belgium
I won an auction on the site 2dehands.be last week and have yet to hear anything from the guy ever since I made the transfer of 100 euro.

I used a Belgian account and the recipient used a Belgian account. The guy lives in Limburg and is Belgian.

Assuming the worst-case scenario: what are my legal options?

in the topic Legal recourse for getting ripped off via 2dehands.be? in the forum Legal Issues in Belgium
    Hi,

I recently won an auction on 2dehands.be for a camera, exchanged a couple of emails with the seller, and then proceeded to wire him the funds. He had a decent rep, and he's from Limburg (Leopoldsburg to be exact).

The bank account from which I wired the funds was Belgian, as was his.

The guy has failed to return any of my messages since I made the transfer.

Granted, I'm paranoid, but the guy has consistently failed over the past 3 days to reply to any of my inquiries regarding whether he has received the funds (which he has by now) and when I can expect him to mail the device.

What are my options? A friend mentioned this individual has 28 days to complete the transaction or refund my money.

Since it's a Belgian bank account I assume there must be a "way" to go after this guy. What are my options and what are my potential costs? Which of these additional costs can I expect to recuperate from this a'hole?
