    Hello.

I am an Asian and I have recetly got Dutch Nationality. First of all let me explain my situation.

In my Dutch passport , just below my surname ( Achternaam) they have mentioned e/v . Gemeente Officer told me that it may create a problem while traveling to another country which I found bit strange. He mentioned that some times imigration officer will stop you.

In my asian passport there is seprate field called Spouse name and there complete name of my wife is mentioned. So there is no question but now I have also started thinking about my Dutch passport...what if  someone does not know what e/v mean ?

I have to travel to China shortly. I have booked my flight ticket with my Frist name and last name. I have not mentioned e/v .

    My questions are :

    1. Is Gemmente Officer correct ?
    2. Does a last name of your spouse can create any kind of problem ?
    3. Is there any time limit with in which I have to submit my Asian passport back and do I have to submit that proof to...    less

Best thing would be to go to your City hall gemeente and ask them for advice. They can give you best advice. It is free also.

    Thanks MVN.
I think instead of sustainable, not beneficial then a permanent job ( or 1 year contract job) is more suitable phrase. It depends how much money one wants to earn to meet his liabilities along with risks of not getting a job for few months.

Hello Kam25, you can open account with HDFC bank with out giving them draft. Ask them that I will transfer moneyonce account is opened. Also mention that here we have Accept Giro not cheque , will you accept that ? So just show them that it is not possible to get cheque.
I think if you wil go for cheque , you will bve charged some euro's.
In worst case open NRO account , there you can give cheque of any indian bank then ask them to open NRE account.

Even in case of visa they do not give right info.
However as you have received letter so I am not sure.
