Its main mission is to encourage and provide the opportunity to practice a wide range of languages amongst people from all over the world as well as create a comfortable venue to make new acquaintances in Madrid. Currently it has more than 20,000 members belonging to its different forums, the most important ones being at Yahoo ( http://es.groups.yahoo.com/group/madridbabel ) and Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4699553259 ). A new group for golfers, whether you have a scratch handicap, or just want to get your "platze reife", we will organise events for all levels of players.
Some ideas of group events would be:
- weekly driving range event with beers in the clubhouse afterwards
- introduction/'schnupperkurse' for absolute beginners (min 4 participants) - for those who want to learn to play, English, French and German possible.
- group courses for all levels (min 4 participants)
- individual lessons with English/German/French speaking PGA pro (1-3 persons)
- golf weekends away
- week long golf trips to various locations - Turkey, Ireland - with a pro or just as a group
- mini friendly tournament just for our group
These are just a few ideas, but everyone is welcome to propose other ideas.
