A weekend of Prose and Poetry workshops in the heart of Amsterdam

led by Amal Chatterjee, Novelist, historian and Fiction Tutor at the University of Oxford (UK) & Jane Draycott, Award-winning poet and Poetry Tutor at the University of Oxford (UK).
Where? ABC Treehouse, Voetboogstraat 11 (just off Spui square), 1012 XK Amsterdam.
When? Friday & Saturday, 11th & 12th May: 10.30 am - 4.30 pm; Sunday, 13th May: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm
Two and a half days of workshops and sessions led by experienced writers and teachers of writing to help you get on track, in the inspiring setting of central Amsterdam, surrounded by bookshops, the canals and history of the city.
The course fee of €250 includes all tuition costs and lunch on Friday and Saturday.
Day 1, the fiction workshop with Amal, will focus on character, dialogue and plot development, exploring how characters can be developed and conveyed, working towards a new plot or develop- ing an existing one.
Day 2, the poetry writing workshop with Jane, will be a day of informal writing exercises aimed at producing first drafts for several new poems, as well as tips for how to develop them beyond the weekend.
Day 3 will be a session of reading the new work and commentary by peers and Jane and Amal.
