    Hoi Rita,
I will keep in touch. 20 minutes isn't that far. Hopefully there is a train station not far from you. I can meet you and whoever for a coffee or drink at a cafe. How much do you charge by the hour? So I can budget for it.

I think I will be visiting next year. I think the Olympics will be out of my expense range for the next year. I may try and fit in 4 days at a Symposium in London during the later part of June. If I can talk my boss into paying for it.

I was thinking of visiting for Queens day and into June. Do you feel there is a better time to visit for some green trees. I been for Queens Day and it was still cold and windy.A friend in Poland and the people I stay with suggest July and August, but that maybe to late for getting back to work.

Thanks for your time and help.
    Groetjes,
    Alan

    Hi Alan,

No worries jumping in, that's ok. I am living in the Amsterdam area, actually 20 minutes drive from Amsterdam. So, when you are in the Netherlands next time, just let me know and I can help you with your Dutch.

    Groetjes,
    Rita

    Hi Rita,

I'm sorry for jumping into this thread, but I was wondering what area you are in. I am hoping to find someone in the Amsterdam area that can help me with some conversational practice next time I'm there. The people I stay with are Canadian and their Nederlands is worse than mine. I've have slowly been working with Rosetta Stone over the past few years, so I can at least understand much of whats being said. But the voice practice feature is useless. I will buy the new version by the end of the year, which has a working version of the utility. What I'm looking for is someone to spend a hour or so a day for the first week I'll be there, practicing some conversational Dutch. I try to stay for three weeks when I visit. I'm not sure when I will be coming next. Either this next May to June time frame, so I'll be there for Queens Day. And if not it might be the next year so I can spend a couple of days in England and hopefully get to see an Olympic event or 2.
If your not in the area, but know of someone with reasonable rates for their tutoring skills I would be very appreciative. Thanks so much for your time!

    Tot ziens!
    Alan

    Hi Helen,

I give extra lessons in Dutch and English to children and adults. I do this already for several years and I have excellent references. If you are interested you could send me a message or give me a call.

    Best
    Rita
