    Dear Shank17,

I have a nanny agency myself and I think this sounds ridiculously high indeed. I know that there are agencies who ask about € 90,- per month for all these services (although they don't find you a nanny; they just provide access to their database with nannies)!
Myself I ask for a onetime placement fee of min. € 800,- and max € 1800,- eur (depends on how many days per week you have a nanny). For that fee I find you a nanny but also remain available for any help during the employment of your nanny, I arrange quarterly evaluation meetings, I arrange a contract between the family and the nanny, etc. ...  more

    Good luck!

    - having someone coming to your house to take care of your child(ren)
    - never to hurry to the day care centre to bring them or pick them up just before closure
    - no need to take a day off from work when your child is ill
    - being able to keep the daily structure and therefore rest in your children’s life as they stay at home with someone they trust
Plus: when you have more than one child, the costs of a nanny are usually less than making use of daycare centres as with a nanny you pay an hourly rate, not based on the amount of children.

in the topic Is there any Frenchy in the NL ? in the forum Other Nationalities in the Netherlands

Hi, Nanny for Expats is an agency focused on the childcare needs of expat families in the Netherlands and we are always looking for international, experienced nannies.

At the moment we are looking for a French speaking nanny/ babysitter for a very nice young French family in Amstelveen. Does anyone know a French nanny interested in a nanny job? let me know!

    Kind regards,

I know you have already found a Nanny (congrats!) so I don't mean to promote my own agency, but at least you have a sort of reference now.

    Good luck!

Mostly needed for the ocassional night/weekend while we're out but may also need someone during the day while mom is home working. Please send me an email with references and hourly rate to: julie_puthoff@hotmail.com

    Dear Julie,

Have you already found a Nanny for your son?

I work for Nanny for Expats, a Dutch nanny agency specialized in placing nannies in expat families (see www.nannyforexpats.com)

At the moment I have a very nice nanny from South Africa (highly experienced and multi-lingual), currently in The Hague, looking for a nanny job. She has a very good background in terms of study, social work, and relevant nanny experience.

Please contact me in case you would like to meet her.

    Kind regards,
