    Thank you Jeremy.
I have the same question, but first please allow me explain my situation.
I’m a KM working for the same company for 5 years. My residence permit is valid until the end of July this year. From March I’ll start working for a new company. According to the new company, they don’t need to apply a new residence permit for me, and I can apply myself as long as it’s prior to the end of July.
So, my question is…is this correct? Isn’t my current residence permit linked to my current employer? Once my employment contract ends, is the permit still valid? And…do I then need to apply a separate work permit (worst scenario)?
    A little more...  more

A little more info…my plan is to apply Dutch nationality somewhere in April (before July), so if this current one can still serve as a residence permit and work permit, then everything would be perfect.
    Thank you in advance!

Being a dutch citizen doesn't affect your ruling, you can still have it for 4 years.
But, if you also change job at the same time, I think two affects: one is you'll need to meet the minimum salary requirement, two is you'll have only 2 years left? I'm not so sure about the second as I also read somewhere that as long as you passed the first 5 years the new regulation doesn't apply to you. Hope someone else can confirm.

It’s all about how to keep the ruling.

I’m a non-EU national benefiting from ruling for 4 years. Now, if I switch job (different company), I believe I’ll need to reapply the ruling. My understanding is the “to be recruited from abroad” is not applicable to me since I was hired from abroad at the first place? Is this correct? I should be more or less safe as long as the salary is not a problem?

For the minimum salary, is it €50,000, or €51,239 (KM minimum for over 30 years old)? I know ruling and KM are not exactly aligned. But, in order to keep the ruling, do I have to maintain the KM permit? I think not, but again, would like to make sure.

Finally, if one day I apply for Dutch passport, can I still keep the ruling? I get different answers for this one, some people say yes some say no. But I call...    less

in the topic 30% ruling and job change in the forum Legal Problems in the Netherlands

    Hi fellow Expaticas,

I’ve been doing research regarding 30% ruling and have some questions regarding job change, can someone please help?

But I called Belastingdienst, and was told I could still have it for the remaining years since the ruling was granted before I become Dutch. Would someone have the experience tell your successful story?

Lots of questions, but any answer will be appreciated!

    AH
