Folks
I have got an offer for a IT job in Hoofddorp. The pay offered is 65000 Euros. Apart from the compensation, I am told the benefits include...20 days of paid holidays/vacation per annum, health insurance and that this pay is subject to the 30% tax ruling.
I am currently based in San Francisco, California. I am wondering if it makes sense to move to Netherlands for this job at this pay.
I am assuming that the net pay will be approximately 3800 Euros/month. I will be moving with my wife and no kids yet.
Can you guys validate if the net pay calculation is accurate? Further, what are the expenses (most likely averages) for things like 1BHK rental, utilities (phone/gas/electric/water/sewage), transportation, groceries/food etc. We arent much of a restaurant buffs and prefer to cook at home.
Request your folks help before I make a decision to move/not move.
