  How hard is membership to come by?

  If you own a business or work for a company that has a membership, it's easy....otherwise, borrow a friend's pass (there are no pictures on them) or go with a friend as two people can come in on one pass....

  Some of the stores (Leeuwarden) requires a second id which must match the Makro card.

  If you get the friend to write a letter, I think on company letterhead, giving permission they'll let you in. Or they did in the past. Might want to check before trying it.
