Hey,
My Dutch girlfriend is in Italy right now. When I call her with a calling card, she gets charged huge amounts of money. Is there a way around this?
Thank you!

Get her to buy a local prepaid card for her cell and call her on that number.

Can you elaborate? That sounds different from a calling card.
Thanks for the reply.

I assume that she has a phone with a Dutch number.
If so, read on.
When you call her, the system will 'find' her. You pay for the call as if she were in Holland. She gets billed for the cost of the call outside the Netherlands. Many people turn their phone off when out of the country.
I agree. As her to get a prepaid phone. Of course, then you will get billed for LD call to italy.
