  I am leaving the Netherlands for the US. I know that I need to inform the city hall that I am leaving. Do I need to do anything else?
  
  I would like to sell my American car. I have Dutch plates and have had it hear for one and one half years. Is that enough to avoid the special customs tax? Is it hard to sell an American car in the Netherlands?
  
  Any suggestions where to sell all my stuff and how I would find somone to just move some oversized things to the garbage?

  Lots of expats sell of their stuff on the Elynx website.
  
  There's also Marktplaats, but that's in Dutch...

  Today I went down to het Juridish-Loket. They contacted the customs office who said I don't need to pay the custom's duty if I have had the car here more then one year. But verify this independently yourself for your particular situation if you are doing the same thing, perhaps at a different time from this post.

  What type of car are you selling?
