  Hiya,
  
  I want to send my big brother a care package, he's fighting in Afganistan and all I have is his APO address, but my post office won't accept that as a legitimate address.
  
  Does anyone know the best way to send a care package to an APO, AE address? Would the US embassy in Amsterdam be able to help me?

  My son in law is also fighting there. The dutch postal system should accept it you need to place the city of APO orgin on the package and that will make it possible. For example, men stationed in europe have New York as an APO address, the pacific a Los Angels APO I do not know what Afganistans APO designation is. Or you could contact the US Army POst in Shinnen (Limburg) and ask them if they would accept it. There is also a US military installation in Capelle aan den Ijssel.
  UPS might be able to help although they normally do not ship to APO,s from the US.
