Hi Guys,
My employer has submitted knowledge migrant visa application for me. Someone told me that since i am already in Netherlands so the normal processing time of 2 weeks doesn't apply in my case. Rather it will take 4 to 6 weeks because i will be issued residence perimit and not an MVV. Does anyone has a idea about processing time for residence permit without MVV for knowledhe migrants?

The IND processing time for skilled migrant residence permits without MVV varies anywhere from 2-8 weeks depending on workload, vacations, etc. The MVV applications mostly come back in 2-3 weeks.

If the letter says you are approved for a residence permit, then you can sign the housing contract. However, since you are an expat, you should ask for a 'diplomatic clause' allowing you to break the lease with two months notice if you lose your residence or employment here.
