I'm a 23-year-old American who would like to move to Germany. I'd like to try it for at least a year. I know I can enter and stay in the country for three months without a visa, but I would like to stay longer than that. I'm not going to Germany for school or for a job.
In fact, I already have a job. I'm an independent contractor and all of my work is done online, so I can work anywhere with internet access.
My question is: How can I get the proper paperwork to live in Germany for at least a year, and given my situation, is it likely that I'll be granted that paperwork? Thanks for your help!
