  Hi Everyone

   

  Does anyone know if you require a visa to transit in the UK for 3 hours from Amsterdam on route to South Africa?

   

  I am receiving conflicting information and want to ensure i follow the correct procedure.

   

  I am told you can transit without a visa due to having a Dutch residency permit and then i am told you need a visa because of the SA passport.

   

  Hope to hear from someone who has experience in this.

  If u remain inside the UK airport ,you don't need transit visa. If u intend to go outside the UK airport, u need transit visa.
