I have noticed that Orange (wanadoo) France are at long last offering a VOIP extension to their ADSL service. It costs something like €7 a month for unlimited international use plus 30 minutes to french mobiles. and from the looks of their blurb, they recommend one of their own Hifi phones that promise the earth in terms of quality of sound. I already have a similar extension with teleconnect but I never use it because the sound quality is extremely bad, dismal in fact. So the question is: is the livebox system and phone any good and is it worth investing in ? Has anyone out there tried it ? Does it still produce irritating echo's and background "hiss" along with the even more irritating 1 to 2 second time lapse?
