hello!
I'm an Irish 22 year old recent French and Spanish graduate and i'm hoping to move to Bordeaux in September for the year, to get my spoken French up to a decent standard before I head off post-grading. I'm just having a feel around to see if anyone can help me with any of the following please:
1) Accomodation: What are the general prices for a place in a decent (but affordable!) central area? (I usually walk everywhere, you see, so the more central the better) Also, is it easy to find furnished apartments and is there much of a house sharing culture or does everyone live alone?
2) Jobs: I know that its always been tough to get a job in France, and even more so now, but would a non-Frenchie have much difficulty finding jobs outside of an Irish bar? Or what's the story with TEFL either? Or does anyone know anything about being a tour guide?
3) Nightlife: where are the good night spots? I don't want to be uncool in France...
