  I am planning a trip to Australia and wanted to squeeze in a few days in New Zealand. What is the best and quickest (ie cheap) way to get from Australia (Sydney) to New Zealand. Is a ferry a good option?

  there are no 'ferries'. Its a three hour flight in a jet from Sydney to Auckland, a little wider than the English channel... (3800 kilometers)
