hi all,
i'm applying for a working holiday visa to france. was wondering if anyone out there who has been through the process could give me some help with just some of the questions on the long stay application form
PROFESSION -
I'm currently unemployed so should i write that or will they consider me a risk of staying illegally if i do
EMPLOYER -
none?
I"M APPLYING FOR A VISA IN FRANCE FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON -
do i just say travel, or can i mention that i intend to work at some point?
WHAT WILL YOUR ADDRESS BE IN FRANCE? -
since i have no place to stay yet. can i just put the address of the hostel i will be staying at when i first arrive.?
WILL YOU BE WORKING AND PAID FOR ANY ACTIVITY IN FRANCE ? IF SO DETAILS -
since i don't know the work i will be doing or when. what am i supposed to put here?
thanks for any help you can give me
Advice = Do NOT lie!
I will send you a link that is pretty accurate, and pages 3 and 4 are appropriate.
http://gofrance.about.com/cs/relocating/a/visas.htmIf you say "Travel" a hostel or other is fine (proof of ability to pay will be required) but if you arrive many of the other regulations kick in and if you then later need an extension or a work permit (unless you work for your own Embassy or diplomatic mission, you may be required to exit and reapply.
The best source is the French Consulate in your home country since that is where you will have to get your Visa.
