I come from sunny South Africa so have not had to deal with the heating as used here. I'm also trying to control my electricity usage but am having difficulty understanding the heating exactly. If someone can help, it would be FANTASTIC!
It's an Siemens electricity heater and I can't find a manual online anywhere. There is the temperature control on the wall which is self explanatory. On the heater unit itself, there is a dial that just shows a 0, I, II and III. From what I've read, that is the amount of energy that get's stored when charging.
1. Is that right?
2. Am I supposed to put that on every night in the cheaper tariff, or does it do that itself?
3. How long does the charge hold and does it still use electricity when it's charged up? As in, if I set the temperature dial down cause I don't need it, but leave the dial on the heater on, will it use electricity or switch off in a charged state and stay that way until the heat is requested?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to rap my head around this.
