Hi All,
We have been renting an apartment for the last year (first occupation after renovation). Our landlord just provided us with a bill for common charges and they have increased drastically.
My questions are this:
1) What is reasonable and customary for a landlord to charge back to his tenants? For instance, I know that the landlord can charge back fire insurance, but what about secretarial charges?
2) Is it reasonable and customary for the tenant to request supporting documentation for the charges?
3) What is a normal charge per unit for heating?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
clane
