  Well...as you may know from my previous post, I'm looking to return to Canada. However, I don't want to return to the town I grew up in. I'm curious where everyone used to live in Canada and what they think of the area. I'm a mechanical engineer by degree and quality engineer by trade.
  
  Currently I'm thinking of moving out to the Vancouver area or around Toronto. Though I also have Owen Sound on my radar at the moment as well. Any other good suggestions?

  Ottawa is a pleasant city, if you son't mind a fairly long and cold winter. Housing costs are a bit lower than in other major Cdn cities, and much lower than either Vancouver or Toronto. There are jobs for engineers in the federal govt and private sector (mainly high tech).
